sUAS Pilots and Techs
The Pikes Peak Squadron, along with the Colorado Wing, is participating in the Civil Air Patrol [CAP] small Unmanned Aerial System [sUAS] operations. In this effort, we assist the U.S. Air Force and various federal, state and local agencies in support of their missions. Our program is involved in all three CAP primary missions: Emergency Services [ES], Aerospace Education [AE], and Cadet Programs.
CAP is the largest sUAS operation in the United States. We have over 1000 airframes and 1000+ sUAS pilots. We still have a need for more sUAS pilots, crew and support personnel. Our largest operational task is producing orthomosaic/georeferenced images for our customers of which FEMA is predominate.
If you would like to serve your community and use your talents, we have a place for you! The first step is to join a local CAP unit!
The process begins here.
All sUAS Mission Pilots must be FAA Part 107 qualified and have the current certificate. To learn about the FAA qualification, go here.
